What is the Household Hope Index?

The average price of a house in Tehran, in May of this year, has exceeded 17 million tomans per square meter. This figure is an all-round economic and social catastrophe compared to the household economy. The average price of a house in Tehran has exceeded 17 million tomans per square meter in May this year. Compared to household economics, this figure is an all-encompassing socio-economic catastrophe that will affect society for years to come.

A comparison of the average price of housing in April and May shows that the price per square meter of a residential unit has risen by about 10 percent in one month and has increased by more than one and a half million tomans. House inflation has risen more than 36 percent since last year. When every square meter of an apartment in the capital of the Islamic Republic was traded for 12 million and 700 thousand tomans. Now, if the buyer has left last year to buy from the caravan of the house, this year he has to put 4 million and 350 thousand tomans per square meter on last year's money. It is impossible to do anything on the scale of household economy.

What is the Household Hope Index?

In the housing economy, there is an index called the "length of the waiting period", which can also be called the "housekeeping hope" index. This index takes into account the average household income and the average housing price, which takes several years for someone to be able to own a home with their own income. To determine this index, it is assumed that one-third of household income is allocated to housing. Thus, the average price of housing is divided by one-third of the average household income, and the result shows that the waiting period for housekeeping in Iran is several years.
