News sources quoted Sigal Mandlker, a US Treasury official, for disconnecting the Central Bank of Iran with the financial messenger. This disconnects the financial transfer problem of Iran and other countries. Assistant Secretary of the Treasury Segal Mandlark announced the discontinuance of Swift, the global interbank financial interconnection system, with Iranian financial institutions under threat from the United States. According to Mandler, the Central Bank of Iran is one of the institutions that Swift has cut off on their financial links. Gatefried Brentley, CEO of Swift, based in Belgium, claimed several days ago, without referring to US anti-American sanctions, that the international financial institution would allow some Iranian banks to access Swift messaging system for global stability and coherence.
