Housing prices have risen as the number of homes sold has fallen compared to last year.




Despite the decrease in the number of houses sold in May, the price per square meter of houses in Tehran increased by about 34% compared to May last year.

According to the statistics of the Economy Office of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, the average price per square meter of a residential unit in Tehran in May compared to the previous month has increased by one million and 500 thousand tomans and has reached 17 million and 66 thousand tomans.

Thus, the price of a house in Tehran in May of this year compared to April has increased by 4.9 percent and compared to May of last year has increased by 8.33 percent. The average price per square meter of a residential unit in May of last year was 12 million 712 thousand 600 tomans.

Housing prices have risen as the number of homes sold has fallen compared to last year.

In May of last year, 12,317 houses were sold and in May of this year, 11,569 houses were sold.
